Here is some basic information on the Hybrid T-Jet/AFX pickup springs:
The new Hybrid T-Jet/AFX springs are made here in the USA from .008" beryllium copper. There are 4.0 coils per spring at an uncompressed spring height of .090".
These springs can either be used as a soft T-Jet pickup spring or as a stiff AFX pickup spring. The tension falls in between stock T-Jet springs and stock AFX springs.
While originally made as direct replacements for Aurora AFX pickup shoe springs, our testing has shown them to be slightly stiffer. This may cause them to be too stiff for use in standard Aurora AFX cars with a light (standard) front end, causing the front end to lift. They have performed well when used in Aurora AFX cars with a heavier front end or those with some magnetic downforce, especially those with more powerful poly magnets.
These springs can also be used in T-Jets when less tension is desired for the pickup shoes. This would eliminate the need to clip coils off standard T-Jet springs.
