This bronze bookend was designed by John Ruhl.
The figure appears to be the poet Dante.  He is wearing a long robe, carrying a book and is wearing a cap / hood. His hands are missing.
By himself, he stands almost 7" inches tall. With the base, he stands 8 3/4" inches.
This item weighs in at 2lbs., 8 ounces.
