Vintage Indian Native American single bookend desk tray, plaster / chalk

Description

Interesting piece in the form of a bust of a Native American chief, wearing headdress and bearclaw necklace.  The design originated with Judd Co who used it for bookends and an inkwell (see last pic from my original Judd catalogue).
Not sure precisely what this one was intended as.  The flat back tells me it was a bookend; but the extended front says desk tray.  As I have just this one, you can use it as you choose.
Made of chalk or plaster and given a bronze-colored finish.  No idea who made it or when.
Condition is fine.  No breaks; one tiniest chip at the bottom edge.
4 1/2 inches tall; 7 inches across at the widest part in the front; 6 1/4 inches longest front to back.  Weighs 2 1/2 pounds.
Perfect gift for the person who needs a decorative tray for holding claws.
