  • Condition: There are no chips or cracks on these bookends, and wear is limited to the bases. One base has a light, 1/4-inch long dent along the front top edge of the base and a couple barely visible dents along the bottom front edge. The other bookend has a 1/2-inch long dent to a bottom front corner and a couple of tiny edge nicks. No significant loss of paint.

    Description

    Up for purchase is a set of solid brass bookends that depict a pony express rider on his horse. There are no manufacturer's mark on this set, and the only marking is "SOLID BRASS" stamped on the rear. The base measures 5 x 1.5-inches in size, and the height is 4.5-inches. One bookend weighs 1 lb. 12 oz. and the other one weighs one ounce less. See photos for more details.
