Description

Rare Antique Stoneware Pint Canning Crock Jar with Zinc Screw-On Lid.  This old stoneware crock canning jar is in good antique condition with a couple of glaze misses, roughness around the bottom edge that looks like it happened during production, one scrape or crack above the threads, a normal amount of flaws for its age, visible in the photos.  The lid has rust, discoloration, a hole & NO porcelain liner.  Someone wrote on the bottom in marker pen & I can't get it off.  It says: Rare Keep.  (yes, indeed!) The jar is a light oatmeal color with brown shoulders, it measures 5" high, the bottom is 4" across & the opening on top lip is 2 1/4".  It weighs 1.31 pounds. It's a beautiful antique canning jar for any primitive or stoneware collector.  Displays well & will look great with any rustic farmhouse or mountain cabin decor.
