  • Condition: No chips or cracks, other than the normal flakes in the grinding area that are a result of the manufacturing process. Sparkling surfaces inside and out, does not appear to have been tumbled, lugged zinc cap with Consolidated Fruit Jar Co New York embossed on the milk glass liner that has does not hold in the lid which is solid, fits well and screws on and off easily. The lid has no splits, holes and only a few specks of loss about the edge. This is not the original lid but it does look good and fits the jar well. Quality and condition can be seen in the photos.

    This sale features a sparkling mint, blue aqua, midget, fruit jar, that
    stands 5½ inches tall with the lid on.
    This one is embossed Mason's CFJ Co. Patent Nov 30th 1858, with the Small Hero Fruit Jar Company cross embossed on the reverse and a central 21 surrounded by PAT NOV 26 67 embossed on the base, small Hero Cross variant on the reverse.
    Its all about the lids on these jars, in most cases, good strong lids are easily worth more than common jars, especially the lids with writing or designs stamped into the tops.
