Mason's CFJ Co Patent Nov 30th1858 "D202" - Consolidated Fruit Jar Co - zinc lid

Mason's CFJ Co (Consolidated Fruit Jar Co) quart jar.  Patent Nov 30th 1858.
Marking on bottom of jar is: D202
This item came from an estate, and I am no expert, but a collector friend of mine did some research and here is her conclusion:
"The jar was made by the Consolidated Fruit Jar Company which was bought out by Hero Glass Works / Hero Fruit Jar Company in 1882/1883.  There is debate whether Hero continued to produce Consolidated jars or redid the logo shortly after purchase. Rough guesstimate on the jar would be circa early 1880s or possibly even 1870's"
As you can see from the photos, there is a chip in the rim of the jar.  When the lid is on, the chip is hidden, so if you are buying this just for display there should be no problem.  I did not attempt to clean the zinc lid as I don't know the best way to do so.  The lid does have a porcelain liner.  The jar is a pretty pale blue green color.
Please ask questions before bidding.  I want my buyers to be happy with their purchases.  I try my best to photograph and describe things accurately, but as I said, I am no expert.  Please check my other auctions for other vintage items.  I am happy to combine shipping when possible.
