These 6X10 and 4x11 bags are great for shipping and transporting of aquatic life(fish, shrimp, etc.).  The bags are taking the place of Kordon breather bags which are hard to find these days. The bags allow carbon dioxide produced by your aquatic life to pass through the bag and allow oxygen back in through the bag without any loss of water.  The bags can be completely filled with water to give your aquatic life a larger volume of fresh water during transit.  Aquatic life are subjected to less stress during travel since there is no need for air in the bags, they are cushioned by water rather than the sloshing around that occurs in a conventional poly bag that contains air or oxygen.  The 6x10 bags have 1.8 mil  thickness with a single heavy-duty straight seal, which are the most popular size, and the 4x11 have a 1.5 mil thickness with a curved seal (prevents shrimp not to get stuck in the corners of the bag) on the bottom for leak free shipping. Bags can be tied or sealed with a rubber band.  There are

bags are packaged in a plastic sealable bag for easy and convenient storage.
Tips for filling aquatic life into bags:
* Fill the bags to a desired level of water. Note that no air space is needed since bags are breathable.
* Twist the opening part of the bag tightly, then bend the twisted top area and wrap with rubber bands (or tie the top as tightly
as you can).
* The bag should have some flex and give to them. If the bag were placed on the table, it should be able to create the look of
a pillow if pushed on with your finger.
* Tips for delivery:  bags should not be too full, wrap bag with air-permeable material like newspaper to make it stronger and
safer, especially for the    bags in large size.
* Some people like to double bag when shipping aquatic life. I personally have received shrimp both single and double bagged with no problems either way. Some believe that double bagging cuts off the oxygen/CO2 exchange, but I have
not seen that to be true from
shrimp that I have received.

Shrimp are placed in breather bags and packed in a box with Styrofoam insulation so they can tolerate the change in weather conditions.
Please notify me if your weather conditions are 40 degrees or below or 90 degrees or above.
If the weather conditions are very bad for the shrimp, I have the right to hold the shrimp order and ship when the weather permits. You will be notified of this delay. It is important to us that the conditions for the shrimp are right and we care about them arriving alive.

We guarantee live shrimp on arrival. In the rare event that there is a DOA please take a clear picture of all the dead shrimp with in two hours of the delivery time. Please provide a picture of the unopened bag next to the shipping label. Also another picture of the DOA shrimps (including the +1 extra shrimp) on a white piece of paper. Failure to do so may void the guarantee. The +1 shrimp is considered a free shrimp and is not included in the guarantee. Example- a picture of 2 DOA shrimp gets a refund for one shrimp since the extra shrimp does not count. You will be refunded for the amount of the DOA shrimp minus the extra +1 shrimp. PLEASE do not just leave me negative feedback and give me 24 hours to respond to your message. I will take care of this and make it right. I am not responsible for your shrimp once they have been put in your tank so please check your water parameters in advance of receiving the shrimp. Please note that extreme weather can affect the health and well being of your shrimps so do not let your package sit outside in extreme weather. It is your responsibility to notify us in advance of shipping if your location temperature is above 90 degrees or below 40 degrees. Failure to do so can result in voiding the live arrival guarantee. Shrimp are very delicate when it comes to changes in water parameters in your tank. Any sudden change can be fatal to your shrimp and it's your responsibility to make sure your water conditions are right. Please get a water test kit and a TDS meter to make sure the water parameters are correct and stable before ordering your shrimp. When you receive the shrimp you should always drip acclimate them for 1.5 to 2 hours to make sure they properly adjust to your tank water parameters. See the recommended water parameters in the description.
