    Description

    This Joan Walsh Anglund-designed figurine of a boy reading was hand made in Japan in 1972 as indicated in label on bottom. Manufactured or distributed by Determined Productions, Inc. in San Francisco.  I have seen this described as a bookend, and it could be used for that purpose, but also stands alone as a collectible figurine.  Not sure if material is plaster or paper mache, but it is in very good condition for its vintage.  Charming addition to a Joan Walsh Anglund collection. Figurine is approximately 6.5" high and 4" wide at square base.
