Antique Pair -  B&H Lion Book Ends - Cast Iron Heavy High Quality - Very FINE
Quality & Condition
Authentic antique pair of heavy cast iron book ends stamped
on the back
with the B&H makers' mark. Sculpted
lions on the front of each book end stand face to face with their jaws open, as if snarling. Made in the period from 1880 to 1920.

and photographs.  There is an old label on bottom that looks like it attributes them to artist sculptor Antoine Louis Bayre.
Each book end measures 4 5/8" wide x 3 3/4" tall x 2" from front to back, at base.
Thickness of cast iron varies from approximately 1/4" to 1 1/4".
Lot weighs 5 lbs. 6 oz., estimated package weight is 6-7 lbs. Will be thoroughly padded and carefully packed for secure, intact delivery.
