  • Condition: The jar measures 7 1/2 inches high with the lid on, 7 inches high with the lid off and 3 3/4 inches in diameter.The glass has whittling, is excellent condition, clean, shiny and bright with no haze. The original zinc lid is porcelain lined and embossed inside "Mason Fruit Jar - Boyd Porcelain Lining".. The hand ground rim has the typical roughness from hand grinding, has no chips.. The bottom is embossed with 131.The small jar with rose along side in my window is a new jar, not included and not for sale. I just always have it on my window sill for color to brighten a dreary day..

    Description

    Antique MASON'S PATENT NOV 30th 1858 Quart Fruit Jar Hand Ground Lip Zinc Lid in super nice condition.
    The glass has whittling showing it was early in the wood mold, is shiny and bright with no haze, no cracks. The original zinc lid is porcelain lined and embossed on the porcelain is "Mason Fruit Jar - Boyd Porcelain Lining".
    The bottom is embossed with 131.
    The jar measures 7 1/2 inches high with the lid on, 7 inches high with the lid off and 3 3/4 inches in diameter. The hand ground rim has the typical roughness from hand grinding, has no chips.
    The small jar with rose on my windowsill  is a new jar, not included and not for sale. I just always have it there on the sill for color to brighten a dreary day.
    The canning jar weighs nearly a pound so shipping weight will be in the 2 to 3 pound range. The jar will be double boxed and mailed priority with insurance and tracking. I can combine shipping with any other items to save you money on shipping.
