2003 rust free GMC Sierra sle, 6.6L Duramax, Allison automatic, 3:73 gears, 108,000 miles, 2wd, It was an NHRA safety safari truck at the Northern Trail dragstrip in Ohio owned by the NHRA until four years ago when I bought it. It is 100% stock, it’s never had a tuner on it, never had fifth wheel or gooseneck hitches in the bed, the hitch was barely even used when I bought it, it is always been an extra vehicle, and all I have pulled is a flatbed car trailer with a vehicle on it occasionally, and my slide in pick up camper on three vacation trips. The rear end was rebuilt at 76,000 miles due to the bearings being pitted from sitting at the dragstrip and condensation build up in the rear end, at 100,000 miles I had the water pump replaced both radiator hoses heater hoses and a flush, there is a pic of all the maintenance I have done, in the last 1000 miles it has had six brand new 10 ply tires put on, transmission service, and an oil change, this truck is a beast, it runs great, it does not smoke, it uses no fluids, no oil leaks, no transmission leaks, no differential leaks, I replaced a high-pressure hydroboost power steering hose a couple of months ago and one other PS hose is seeping some and it’ll drip every now and then, replaced idler and tension pulley’s and serpentine belt, this truck is a beast and has been to Kansas Colorado Arizona Utah Mississippi Tennessee Alabama Kentucky Oklahoma Texas Indiana Illinois, it is a road warrior, about a month ago I sold my 70 Chevelle and transported it to Indiana for the guy 16 hours round-trip and did awesome, 17 mpg empty on the highway, and about 13 with my camper in it or pulling a trailer. This truck has not had a hard life, or been used as a “work truck” The paint is in great shape, The clearcoat had been baked off sitting at the dragstrip, so over the last two years I have done paint work on the truck and had the roof and hood finished up last week, The interior is very clean no rips or tears, Consol with cupholders everything on the truck works, trailer brake, a/c and heat work great, there is a couple of pics of the underneath of the body, there is zero rust, the bed has never had a liner in it and it is not rusted either. I have put about 35,000 miles on it in four years and serviced the transmission twice, regular oil changes at about 6000, fuel filter every other oil change, and I have used lubricity formula fuel additive in the diesel pretty much every tank of fuel since I have owned the truck.
