Today we are selling a "South Africa by SAS Scandinavian Airline System" travel poster! This c. 1955 poster was created by Otto Nielsen for SAS- Scandinavian Airline System. This wonderful poster depicts four mighty ostriches running into the wind, with a SAS airplane flying above. The piece presents very well and is in very good vintage condition, with very minimal display wear. There is very small (and hardly noticeable) tear on the left border about half way down. Bring the elegance and refinement of the golden era of aviation home with this fantastic poster! Fresh to the market! Dimensions: Height: 39 1/4" Width: 24 5/16"

Today we are excited to offer for sale a rare and truly wonderful "South Africa by SAS Scandinavian Airline System" travel poster! This c. 1955 poster was created by Otto Nielsen for SAS- Scandinavian Airline System. Nielsen (1916-2000) was an accomplished painted who dedicated much of his career to studying the people and animals of different regions. He illustrated many travel books outside his career at SAS. Nielsen created posters as well as calendars and other promotional material for SAS for nearly 50 years. His artwork showcases his loose oil painting technique and feature the people and animal life from destinations across the globe. This wonderful poster depicts four mighty ostriches running into the wind, with a SAS airplane flying above.
The bottom is marked "Printed in Denmark by AffSet Axel Andreasen & Sonner".
The piece presents very well and is in very good vintage condition, with very minimal display wear. There is very small (and hardly noticeable) tear on the left border about half way down. Bring the elegance and refinement of the golden era of aviation home with this fantastic poster! Fresh to the market!
